| Job Summary: | Constructs, maintains, and tests mechanical equipment, machinery, and components related to most pharmaceutical packaging operations including blister packaged, form/fill/seal (pouching), can filling, bottle filling. Identifies parts or machines that need new parts or need to be replaced and places orders as necessary. Familiar with computer-controlled filling and counting systems for tablets, capsules, powders and liquids into pouches, cans, blister packages and bottles. |
| Education: | An AAS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology with related science experience is preferred. |
| Experience: | Candidates must have experience setting up, troubleshooting manufacturing equipment used in production. The candidate should also have experience with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the pharmaceutical industry and be familiar with FDA and GMP regulations. This position contributes significantly to the successful timely manufacture of experimental and cGMP clinical batches in the Pilot Plant through the maintenance and repair of equipment on the shop floor. Prior experience as a mechanic within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred; experience in preventative maintenance programs a plus. |
